OFCOM Regulations

Like all independent telecommunications providers, TMC Telecom is obliged to operate within the regulations applied by Ofcom.

It is our belief that we exceed any legal requirement placed upon us in terms of best and proper practice, and we continue in our endeavours to achieve the highest standards of responsible conduct and trading.

In order for telecoms providers to comply with Ofcom's latest general conditions which came into force in October this year, we have provided links to the new conditions which are called C7 “Switching” and C8 “Sales and marketing of mobile communication services”.

General Condition C7 "Switching" - This condition aims to protect domestic and small business customers during the process of switching their landline and/or broadband services, either when moving from one communications provider to another, or staying with the same communications provider when moving location, or changing services with the same communications provider. The full text of General Condition C7 is available here: Ofcom GC C7

General Condition C8 “Sales and marketing of mobile communication services” - This condition aims to protect domestic and small business customers by ensuring communications providers observe certain obligations when selling and marketing their mobile call and text services. It also requires communications providers to put in place certain minimum standard provisions in respect of the sales and marketing behaviour of their retailers. The full text of General Condition C8 is available here: Ofcom GC C8
